Nandita writes a poem about the 'blue dot' on which our existence depends!
Nandita took part in Art Mantram's GlassHouse Festival of Poetry Competition and she was a winner, placed third.
We are all talking about how due to our greed etc., we just made Bangalore unlivable. We changed a beautiful city with lakes cascading from one into the other depending on the season into a concrete jungle! The lakes were neglected and allowed to die so that huge towers came up.
Bangalore could indeed become a large graveyard if we don't heed the words of Nandita and others like her!
1 Bangalore has become a tower of babel! It is not about the usual politics. It is how the city is going down the drain!
I I was thinking about the blog Nandita contributed for my collection! She was eight years old and was so happy to see a lake rejuvenated and wrote about it!
Amazing that around the same time Raji, her grandmother shared the poem she wrote!

I can feel the little mind's lines penned with pain and your articulation of what Bengaluru today has become are really thought provoking.

I wish everyone thinks like this 11 year old and acts their part.
Once a garden city is turning into a wasted city.
Only when each of us do our part, will we be able to see some light.
Let's wish, hope and pray

Can you kindly send me her lake rejuvenation essay with the Before and After pics as a separate attachment for circulation to my friends.
Cheers

Simply wonderful...
Any associations meetings I go, whenever asked for any ideas or suggestions, I'll be telling them, "how about tree planting drive?"..
