A early morning walk on and around commercial street.

 I was at the Anand Lab for blood test etc., hence I had two hours between the two tests I had to take. 

Had heard about the revamped Commercial Street so
 I walked towards it.
The sign even though was not at the entrance of the street
I guessed it was meant for it. 
The guavas were looking good, but didn't stop to buy!

As I walked past the guava vendor 

the sight of old granite didn't impress me.

However as I turned in to the street
it was a Wow! 

Unbelievable and I saw that the footpath
 is designed so that no cars could be parked!
(Normally it is a given that in Namma Bengaluru, 
if a car can be parked on the footpath; it will be!} 
(I need to check this out when com. street is open for business!) 


We are used to exceptions to the rule.
Especially if it belongs to the government!
BESCOM is the worst offender!
Next are the car owners!
I guess it is beyond repair. 
  

It was nice to see that the surrounding areas were also improved with good pavements.

 

Even side streets are looking better

It is understandable as it is too early in the morning
There are enough workers from BBMP collecting garbage

A few homes from the past caught my eye

This is protected by Defense

The lab.

I feel it is for the citizens to vacate the pavements.
However these hand-carts are the source of their income
so may be difficult. We adjust.
They are better than the car owners
who hog the whole footpath
