Corona times -07 How to keep busy

Online  used positively keeps us occupied.

Let's party sensibly

This has given me an idea: I wonder how kids are coping? Some are very creative and it would be nice to hear about the way they manage. Perhaps parents can tell us!

Let me share all positive news in this blog not talked about generally.
In addition to some impromptu On-Line get-together's there are serious attempts to keep busy constructively.

I have mentioned about Tara's music classes for her grand children.
Friends of ours, Raji and Lakshmi take online classes for their granddaughter everyday on various subjects of interest. Not just homework.

Let me share that at Sobha City, we seniors get a lot of  help. A volunteer ERT (Emergency Response Team) helps us to get groceries delivered, medicines collected and so on. Young friends keep asking if  we need anything.

Eagleton residents have combined and are managing well. Some residents were in quarantine as
they returned from abroad and were helped in many ways during this their lock in period.

A friend of mine in his eighties is literally locked in. He lives alone in an independent house in Koramangala. His neighbor brings him food, as his helping staff sometimes cannot make it. His driver who is his man Friday is finding it difficult to come as he lives far away.

I heard of a few leaders, MP's,  MLA's and Corporators doing a great job. I am not sure if there is a forum in which this is talked about. I did ask in FB did get responses by a couple of friends. I heard it is happening but not getting a mention. This news could inspire us and others! Lets talk about the active ones!

Hi Uncle, very true. Kids find their own way to invest their quality time they have now due to clamp down in our city.

Some kids take up those hobbies that they are passionate about, which otherwise they had to shelve earlier due to lack of time.

My daughter Akshara Sivaraj (10 years old) spends few hours daily online with her teachers and classmates in the virtual classroom for her academics.

During her free time, she reads books, does sketching and writes scripts for her skits.

Akshara invests her time and efforts in making the props, dialogues and costumes and enact scenes from the epic Mahabharata.

Recently, she came to me with a request to film her short story on Bhagawad Gita.

The web link of the same is attached herewith.

It is amazing to explore our hidden child in us by pursuing our hobbies and arts during this Corona Times to keep ourselves quarantined from the negative and sad news all around us.

Thanks Sivaraj. This is worth a blog by itself!

The treadmill lying in a corner has been resurrected. That takes care of an hour. Reciting shlokas keeps the mind ticking. Whatsapp posts take some time and replying keeps busy. Catching up with the library takes up some slack. Of course the post-lunch snooze is welcome. Nevertheless there is anxiety and longing for freedom.
